Denver Nuggets One Win Away from Sweep After Game 3 Victory
Jokic and Murray Combine for Strong Performance
Lakers' Fourth-Quarter Rally Falls Short
The Denver Nuggets took a commanding 3-0 lead in the Western Conference finals after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 114-106 in Game 3 on Saturday night. Despite not playing their best at the same time, the Nuggets' stars, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, combined efforts to propel their team to victory.
Murray led the scoring for Denver with 28 points, while Jokic added 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Lakers made a late rally in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets' lead. LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, while Anthony Davis added 27 points.
The Nuggets can close out the series and advance to the NBA Finals with a win in Game 4 on Monday night. The Lakers will need to win four straight games to avoid elimination.
