Manchester City Player Ratings: 3-1 Win Over Burnley
City Back into Second Place
Bernardo Silva Stars with Brace
Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. After a disappointing draw with Nottingham Forest in their previous league outing, City bounced back with a strong performance against the Clarets.
Bernardo Silva was the star of the show for City, scoring twice in the first half. The Portuguese midfielder opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a fine strike from outside the box. He then doubled City's lead in the 22nd minute, finishing off a flowing team move.
Erling Haaland added a third goal for City in the second half, taking his tally for the season to 27 in all competitions. Burnley pulled a goal back through Nathan Tella in the 59th minute, but it proved to be a consolation as City held on for the win.
The victory takes City back into second place in the Premier League table, five points behind leaders Arsenal. Burnley, meanwhile, remain in the relegation zone.
