Landeskog to Debut in Upcoming Game

After a long and arduous rehab, Landeskog is ready to return

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that they have acquired forward Gabriel Landeskog from the New York Rangers.

Landeskog, 29, is a three-time All-Star and was the Avalanche's captain from 2016 to 2023. He was traded to the Rangers in July 2023 in a salary-cap move. He has 10 points in 10 games with the Rangers this season.

"We are excited to welcome Gabe back to the Avalanche," said Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic. "He is a proven leader and a key part of our team."

Landeskog is expected to make his Avalanche debut in Saturday's game against the St. Louis Blues.
