Chelsea made it four wins in a row as Cole Palmer scored again in a 2-1 victory over Brighton despite a late equalizer from Brighton. Brighton had only won two of their 17 league matches against Chelsea prior to this match, with both victories coming last season.

Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma levelled the game in the 64th minute after Palmer had given Chelsea the lead in the 5th minute, but Christopher Nkunku restored Chelsea's advantage just five minutes later. Despite a red card for Reece James in the 79th minute, Brighton was unable to capitalize on their man advantage and Chelsea held on for the win.

With the win, Chelsea has moved into fourth place in the Premier League table, while Brighton remains in 14th place.
